Q.  How do I get started?
A.  It starts with a “hello”, we’ll get to know each other, answer your questions, explain what we do for you and build a trusted relationship. Then we’ll schedule an in person meeting for an in depth discussion of your needs.


Q.  What’s the process?
 
A.  Our in person assessment will provide CSC an understanding of you or you loved one’s current situation. What brought you to this point? 
Is there a sense of urgency or do you have the time to carefully evaluate all your options. 

  • Explore your lifestyle Do you have pets, what have your hobbies been, are you social and enjoy activities, or do you prefer quiet.  What has brought you great enjoyment in life.
  • How do you see your future – remaining in your own home, bringing care into your home and/or making modifications in the home for mobility/safety or moving to a Senior Living Community. 
  • Understand the finances. What is the current financial picture and how will that change over time. 
  • Identify geographical areas of NE Ohio will you feel comfortable exploring 
  • After careful thought and evaluation, we will present a personalized list of the local senior communities that will best meet your specific needs. 
  • Upon your review and selection we’ll schedule tours and accompany you. 
  • Engage in post-tour discussions to evaluate pros and cons of your visit(s) and address any issues or questions you may have.  
  • The Choice is yours. Once your decision is made we’ll be with you to ensure a smooth transition. 


Q.  How long does it take?
A.  
We understand that most of these decisions are urgent, placing clients in as little as 24 hours. And we’ve also had many clients that preferred to wait several months before they moved in. It is an individual choice.

We help you understand what to look for while touring and which questions to ask. You will quickly discover that each senior care community has its own personality.

Q.  What if I change my mind?
A.  
The Choice is yours. We understand the emotional and financial complexity of this type of decision.  If you decide not to move in there is no reason for concern. We are here to help you when or if you need support.

Caring Senior Choices is FREE advisory service helping you and your loved ones find the best senior living communities and senior care services available in our local area. Our service is paid for by the community.

We are a locally owned, boutique company and have lived in the area we service for over 60 years. 

  • We do not accept payment from any facility to advertise their facility on our website.
  • We are not part of a franchise or national placement company that does not meet in person with you or your loved one.
  • We only recommend facilities that we would recommend to our own family.
  • We have personally been through this process with our own family. We understand that while every family is different we can offer you support and information that will help you through your own family’s journey.
  • If you or your loved one doesn’t need to move to a senior living facility, we won’t recommend it. Your best interest is our paramount concern.

Q.  How do I know it’s time to consider a senior living community?

For those considering whether or not it’s time to explore senior living options below are common signs your loved one may need senior care:

  • Do you or your loved one find it more difficult to climb the stairs in your home?
  • Are you or your loved one, afraid to be alone?
  • Do you need help with grocery shopping & meal preparation?
  • Are there mistakes with Medication, which would benefit from monitoring and management?
  • Do you have anxiety or difficulty managing everyday living activities such as bathing, grooming and dressing?
  • Has the senior suffered a severe stroke or other debilitating condition?
  • Do you struggle with staying on top of your home, garden and other chores?
